These days, many people are rocking\r\ndouble, triple, or even quadruple piercings. Since piercings have become so\r\npopular, there\u2019s really no limit to the piercings that you can get. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

However, when you poke a needle through\r\nyour body multiple times, there will be some consequences. Besides standard\r\nwound healing\u2014swelling, red skin, discomfort\u2014your body will react if you get\r\ntoo many piercings done at once.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Here\u2019s everything you need to know about\r\ngetting pierced multiple times at once.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Is it possible to get more than one\r\npiercing in one sitting?<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The short answer is yes, you can get more\r\nthan one piercing in a single sitting.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The number of piercings that you can get\r\nin one sitting will depend upon your individual ability to handle pain as well as where they are placed and\r\nhow healthy you are. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

When you\r\nreceive any wound, including a piercing, your body is going to have a reaction.\r\nAs part of our survival instincts, we enter into a sort of fight-or-flight\r\nmode, and you will feel physical consequences.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

When sitting\r\nin the piercer’s chair, you might feel a variety of symptoms\u2014cold sweats,\r\ndizziness, nausea. These can occur for a number of reasons, including nerves or\r\nlow blood sugar. Before you get a piercing, make sure that you have eaten\r\nenough, and drink plenty of water. This should help minimize any of these\r\nissues.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If you start\r\nfeeling dizzy, ask your piercer to take a short break. Often, letting the\r\nfeeling pass, drinking some water, and eating a small snack can help you feel\r\ngood as new and ready for your next round of piercings. Don’t push yourself too\r\nhard; it’s okay to wait and finish your piercing another day, too.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Most reputable\r\npiercers won’t do more than 3 or 4 piercings in one sitting. If they’ve pierced\r\nyou before and know your pain tolerance, they might be willing to do a few\r\nmore, but it can be hard on your body, and you don’t want to push your limits.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If you do get\r\nmultiple piercings at once, your piercer will likely stick to one body part at\r\na time. For instance, if you’re planning on getting a line of helix piercings\r\non both ears, your piercer will probably only do one ear at a time. This is to\r\nease the healing process; if you get both ears done at once, you won’t be able\r\nto lay your head on either side, making sleep difficult.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If you do get\r\nmultiple piercings, be sure to choose a reputable piercer that you trust. As\r\nlong as you communicate how you’re feeling, they’ll be able to guide you\r\nthrough the process and recommend when it’s time to stop piercing.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Multiple piercing aftercare<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

You might think that healing multiple\r\npiercings would be more difficult than healing one, but the process will look\r\nthe same. However, conducting multiple cleanses per day will take time, so you\r\nmust be prepared to give every piercing the attention it needs.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If you get multiple piercings done near\r\neach other, keep in mind that swelling will likely be substantial. This will\r\nlead to more discomfort in the early days of healing.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

When you receive a new piercing, getting\r\nused to the new jewelry can be difficult. If you have many new pieces of\r\njewelry, you need to be aware of the jewelry and careful not to snag or tear\r\nit. If you have a hard time adjusting to new jewelry, then you might only want\r\nto get one or two at a time.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
